Hello! My name is Lisa Addison and I was a journalist for more than 25 years. I was a reporter, columnist, and/or editor for several newspapers including the San Antonio Express-News; the News-Star in Monroe, LA; the American Press in Lake Charles, LA; and the Orange County edition of the Los Angeles Times. I was also a reporter and bureau chief for UPI. As a freelancer, I've written hundreds of articles that have appeared in newspapers and magazines.
I have received awards from the Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists, Women in Communications, National Press Women, Orange County (California) Press Club, and Louisiana Press Women.
I've written business books for Entrepreneur; travel guidebooks; and have been a contributor to blogs, online magazines, and books. I'm a true crime author; advocate for crime victims; a family columnist for a regional magazine; a freelancer for many publications; and I talk about true crime cases for shows such as "Deadly Sins" on Investigation Discovery as well as other shows.
I'm a southern girl and I love to travel, try out new recipes, read, go on adventures with my kids, and just enjoy every moment that life has to offer!
CURRENT PROJECT
I'm currently writing a book based on a true crime that took place in 2009 in Lake Charles, LA. Robyn Little Davis and her best friend Carol "Sissy" Saltzman were convicted of 2nd Degree Murder in the killing of Robyn's husband, Brian Davis. Both women are serving life sentences for the murder.
